Protectorate
Hey, if you don't already know, we might soon become a protectorate of another very large alliance. A nation with whom I had done a couple tech deals with, asked me if we wished to become a protectorate. I immediately conferred with the current leaders and we were all in general favor of becoming one. Just to tell you, a protectorate is basically where a larger alliance protects a smaller one. Also, the smaller alliance is not required to protect the larger alliance in case of an attack. Alliance control over protectorates differ throughout alliances. Currently, we are learning and negotiating about the different terms and conditions and there have been "passes" between leaders of the alliance. I guess we just have to wait and see!

We need them as our protectorate until we grow, because if an alliance, or one nation, wars on us we can't defend ourselves extremely well yet.
ReplyDeleteYeah, this could make our alliance well protected and increase our friendship between alliances. If this works it could stimulate more inter-alliance cooperation, aid, and tech deals. It could be a huge step into becomming a powerful alliance. Also, to clarify on leggmason's comment, they are not becomming our protectorate. We're becomming their protectorate.
